Excellent wide angle lens, not very expensive
I received the Opteka lens quickly from the seller. I have used it often since getting it. I am very happy with the quality of the videos. And the price was quite reasonable.
Great lens on a budget
At about 1/8 of the price of the similar lens made by Sony, this lens is a good substiture. There is some slight blurring on the very corners of the screen, but most of the blurring is beyond the viewable region for most TV's so it's barely noticable. It doesn't work with the still photo mode on my HDR-SR1 but I use the still mode so rarely that it doesn't matter to me.

Decent value, but some quirks may bother videophiles...
My HC3 badly needs a wide angle lens. I wasn't sure if I'd want to spend for Sony's HD wide angle lens. This lens was cheap enough to take the risk. First, 47th St did include a step up adapter ring even though it's not mentioned in the description.| elapsed time: | 22.0ms |
