I love it!
So for a while now I kept on wanting to get this adapter for my gl2, and because of the price I forgot about it for some time. I was looking for a replacement battery and found this. I absolutely love it! I'm using my professional mics and the sound quality is so superior. Now I don't have to carry the ikegami everywhere for budget jobs! Thanks guys!...

Pricey, but well worth it.
I've had some problems with the GL-2 having a mic so sensitive that it was picking up the sound of the tape running while recording, plus it picks up alot of background noise, so to get better sound I needed to go with an external mic on a boom pole. The GL-2 does in fact have an audio in jack on it, which this device plugs into, but undue strain (like using a heavy XLR converter) notoriously damages the jack making it useless without this or similar items.
