Multipurpose TOTAL Solution - All for $10 - Great Deal This item is so very cool in four ways.

1. It protects the lens tube by creating a SOLID strong cage around the lens tube so that no dings, nicks or even, gasp, drops could hurt the lens tube.

No vignetting on my C-3040Z I've had this "adapter" on my C-3040Z for a year now and haevn't had any problems with vignetting. The only time I might detect a very slight issue is when I have more then two filters on the camara. I also have the 2X telephoto lense and again I have no problems at all. Perfect solution I installed this adapter on my C-5050 Zoom. It solved my fear of turning on the camera with the lense cap still on (5050 owners know what I am talking about!). It is well made and well suited to this camera. It is black so it looks like it belongs on this camera. It is just slightly longer than the extended camera lense, so any filter will not contact the lense (a concern with the Olympus CL-1 tube).
