Great Value but has AF issues
This lense has great range and is a good all around lense. It is great if you only want to carry one lense, which is why I purchased it (Disney World). From a value standpoint it ranks 5 stars (I paid $599) but it does have some issues with auto focus. The auto focus can be very slow and can cause you to miss shots while it struggles to focus. Lens Creep
Good lens for the money. Great focal length. Tamron needs to go back to the drawing board though and fix the lens creep. While tilting camera forward to review picture(s), barrel creeps all the way out to telephoto. You will have the same problem while on a tripod and you tilt the camera down or up past 45 degrees and take your hand off the zoom ring.
