This digital camera, the 12.1 MP Canon A650IS , has a 6x zoom lens and 4x digital zoom. It uses Secure Digital/Secure Digital High Capacity/Multimedia/Multimedia Plus memory cards, and its CCD resolution is 4000 x 3000. This camera also takes movies with sound, and has a built-in microphone. The Canon A650IS has a 2.5" LCD screen (measured along the diagonal) on the back for composing pictures, and you can manually adjust the shutter & aperture. Its fastest shutter speed is 1/2000 second, up to a maximum exposure time of 15 seconds, and you can shoot 1.2 frames/second continuously. It has a built-in internal flash plus a self timer. Is this price a typo?
I've had this camera for about a year. I replaced my Canon Powershot A80 (which also is a gem). Not sure I will ever buy a camera that does not have this tilt/flip/swivel screen. It is the best thing for taking photographs from angles you just can get down or up to. Love it!...

Great Overall Camera For Regular Use
I purchased this Canon A650 camera from a Costco that bundled a Canon printer on Dec 2007 right before my family's Christmas trip to Las Vegas. And I can definately say that it is one of the best purchase I had made because the camera and printer cost a fraction of what I see online even at this moment.
Canon PowerShot 12.1 MP
This camera takes excellent pictures. I am mostly satisfied with taking portraits and out door scenes. I do find that my hand tend to get into the way of the flash from time to time which creates a less distinct section of the picture. I soon learned to avoid this and to inform anyone I may ask to take a picture for me, to avoid this.
