The 5 MP Canon PowerShot A460 provides a 4x zoom lens and 4x digital zoom. It uses Secure Digital/Secure Digital High Capacity/Multimedia memory cards, and its CCD resolution is 2592 x 1944. This camera also takes movies with sound, and has a built-in microphone. The Canon PowerShot A460 has a 2" LCD for viewing and taking photos. Its fastest shutter speed is 1/2000 second, up to a maximum exposure time of 15 seconds, and you can shoot 1.5 frames/second continuously. It has a built-in internal flash as well as a self timer. 20 Oct 2008Great Little CameraThis is my first digital camera. I've been hard pressed to give up my 35mm camera ways. This little camera is simple to use. Instructions are easy to follow. Picture quality is fairly sharp. The best part about it is that it is handy, easy to take along and lightweight...beats lugging all the 35mm stuff when all you want to do is snap a couple of quick pictures. 26 Sep 2008Good value, some shortcomingsI bought this camera at Christmas for my kids (12-year-old daughter likes to do "KidTV" videos with friends; 9-year-old son makes stop-motion and live videos of Lego etc. for YouTube). I got it partly because my Canon A95, which in all other respects I *love*, only does 30-second videos; and partly because I got tired of copying VHS-C tapes for them. :-) I picked this model for its combination of price and Canon quality.
