So Disappointing - Broke on vacation in Hawaii
I had this camera for 14 months. I took it on vacation in Hawaii and the lens motor went out. There was nothing a technician could do, and my warranty expired two months prior.

Not what you would expect from Olympus
I bought the FE-140 in June for my daughter as a graduation present for $200, along with a very protective case and the best Olympus memory card. The camera performed very slowly, which was fine for a novice, but was aggravating for quick action events. Night shots were terribly captured. There are so few adjustments that you can make that you are forced to use the modes Olympus gives you. Finally, after just 4 1/2 months, my daughter opened the case to find the LCD display had internally cracke...

NOT worth it...
at least for me. i purchased this camera at target in may 2006. it seemed like a good value, had good features, and i thought a camera from olympus would be of good quality. however, by june 2006, it had become defective and i could no longer take pictures; the screen only read "card cover open" even when it was completely closed. figuring it was just a fluke, i took it back to target and they graciously replaced it with a new one.
i've used the new one since june, never dropped it, neve...
