This digital camera, the 7.1 MP Canon PowerShot SD550, provides a 3x zoom lens and 4x digital zoom. It uses Secure Digital/Multi Media Cards memory cards, and its CCD resolution is 3072 x 2304. This camera also takes movies with sound, and has a built-in microphone. The Canon PowerShot SD550 has a 2.5" LCD for viewing and taking photos. gwynings I bought this EXACT camera from Wal-Mart 2 years ago for around $200.00.
It has been a very nice camera and worth the $200.00. The only thing I wish I could change is the 3x optical zoom. I would like 5x or 10x but for the money ($200) it is a good camera. How the vendors at Amazon can ask for $400-$600 is beyond me! That is a rip-off.... –Gwyningsfrom Amazon.com

Fragile I've broken the screen on this camera twice and I'm not going to bother to fix it again. When it's working it's fantastic for a point-and-shoot, just make sure you encase this in steel if you decide to buy it. –leavesinthecityfrom Amazon.com

e18 error and camera died Camera died all by itself. E18 error(well known canon problem) and lens will not work. Do not buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
