Olympus FE310 TMS
The camera had all the features I was looking for and was quite easy to use. However, when I attempted to download photos from it, I found that it was not possible because the camera caused a power surge in the USB port. The vendor I purchased the camera from was willing to replace it but they tried several others of the same model before shipping one of them to me and had the same exact result with each one. I would NOT recommend this camera to anyone....

A Wonderful Step Up
I have spent a few months researching which camera would replace my now-retired Olympus D-390 (featuring blistering two-megapixel capability) and found the 8 MP Olympus FE-310, which uses the same rechargable AA batteries and the same xD cards as my 'retiree'. Contrary to other reviews seen here, there are indeed settings which will retain user preferences and conserve battery power. I am really enjoying this purchase, and fans of Olympus digital cameras will probably be satisfied with the value...

best camera for the money
firstly, use only lithium batteries or you will be replacing them every five minutes. good thing about AA lithium batteries is that they can be found just about anywhere, whereas olympus wants you to use some unusual battery pack that would be hard to find. also, if i am in the middle of something, i don't want to wait hours for batteries to recharge! better to just take a minute to pop in some new AA lithiums! with standard memory it takes 60 excellent photos on the 1 meg setting. nice video wi...
