Introduced in November 2007, the pro-level Nikon D300 offers significant upgrades from the D200, and has already won awards for its stellar precision-engineered performance. The DX-format DSLR, with its new 12.3MP CMOS sensor incorporating dust reduction technology, has stunning image quality made possible by Nikon's own EXPEED Image Processing System. Frame a photograph with its 3" hi-res LCD screen with two LiveView LCD shooting modes.Noted for its fast 6-8 frames/sec shooting speed and 51-point autofocusing system, the D300 can accept any Nikor F-Mount lens and uses CompactFlash and Microdrive digital media. Well priced, with a smaller, lighter body and weather-sealed case, this camera is a top choice for any pro photographer.The Nikon D300 (body only) 12.3 MP digital camera accepts Nikon F Mount lenses. It uses CompactFlash Type I/II/Microdrive memory cards, and its CMOS resolution is 4288 x 2848. The Nikon D300 has a 3" LCD screen (measured along the diagonal) on the back for composing pictures, and you can manually adjust the shutter & aperture. Its fastest shutter speed is 1/8000 second, up to a maximum exposure time of 30 seconds, and you can shoot 6 frames/second continuously. It has a built-in internal flash as well as a self timer.
