Pentax's K20D digital SLR camera has a newly created 14.6MP resolution CMOS sensor, updated from the K10D model while retaining its sturdy dust and water resistant body. Also new is a Live View function, which allows the photographer to frame his shot on the large 2.7 inch LCD monitor while shooting, and enlarging it up to 8X at the same time. Save your creations in either JPEG or RAW format and store them on Secure Digital media. Add Pentax's Shake reduction system for reducing blur and their dust removal system, and you will have just a portion of the features that make the K20D one of the most popular digital cameras available.The 14.6 MP Pentax K20D (body only) uses Pentax KAF2 lenses. It uses Secure Digital / Secure Digital High Capacity memory cards, and its CMOS resolution is 4672 x 3104. The Pentax K20D has a 2.7" LCD for viewing and taking photos, and you can manually adjust the shutter & aperture. Its fastest shutter speed is 1/4000 second, up to a maximum exposure time of 30 seconds, and you can shoot 3 frames/second continuously. It has a built-in internal flash plus a self timer. Great camera I've had mine for about a month now, and I'm very pleased. This is my first DSLR - this has restored my passion for photography that I had years ago with my old SLR's. I bought the Pentax both because I have some older Pentax lenses and because it seemed like the best value for the money. I'm learning the idiosyncrasies of the camera, one being that auto white balance works poorly with my external flash - but choosing the flash white balance setting works beautifully. Best Bang for the Buck I've had the k20 now for 2 months after getting my k10 stolen in South America, and i am totally stoked. I was shooting a riot a few days ago and got maced in the face by a cop while taking pictures, and the camera was totally fine even after being soaked in the stuff. (Cops don't like when you take pictures of them being mean to others.) The housing is awesome and more or less water (mace) restistant. The k10 handled the jungle with pleasure and i'm sure this baby will too. Liveview is pretty l... –William Tellfrom Amazon.com
