The D40 has a 2.5" diagonal LCD screen on the back, and you can manually adjust the shutter & aperture. Its fastest shutter speed is 1/4000 second, up to a maximum exposure time of 30 seconds, and you can shoot 2.5 frames/second continuously. It has a built-in internal flash.
