Locked up two laptops.
I wish I could report that the Syba USB/FireWire Combo cardbus adapter was a painless and trouble-free way to add extra USB ports to a laptop, but for me it was not. On both an older Compaq running 98SE and a later Dell running XP, the one I bought caused the systems to lock up, sometimes during the boot process, and sometimes during the automatic driver installation.
