Works as expected. I bought similar product from ebay and it did not work properly. I had issues like drive disappering from windows disk manager and explorer and putting data in Ultrabay drive was a risk as when I am in front of customer, it would be embarrasing to lose access to important data.

After I bought this from amazon, I had 0 issues. The product is rock solid and I did not lose the drive single time after installation.

T61 approved Works great on a T61 that I bought in January. Haven't tried hot-swapping. Needs to be a SATA drive. Nice feature; I'm liking the thinkpad's durability and options. –Stephano Cfrom Amazon.com

Easy as 1-2-3 Does what it says on the box, and easier than 1-2-3 to install.

Your old Lenovo CD/DVD drive slides right out, with no tools required, you then clip a new/second hard drive into this bay, then slide the bay into where the CD/DVD drive once was, again no tools required - and there you are! ready to go!

All you have to do then is go to the Disk Manager within Windows and initilize/format the new disk.
