Solid and offers peace of mind
Not sure what aftermarket batteries offer in terms of guarantees regarding damage caused by their product, but you can be sure that Toshiba would have to stand behind a product with their name on it. Putting a second battery into a nice Satellite laptop, why would you want to risk a hassle if something goes wrong (and they have, and do). Spending a couple extra bucks seems worth it to me. As far as performance life, I kinda look at it like this one is the "real" laptop battery, and the OEM 6-cel...

Makes a big difference
