I bought it and had the same problem with Skype (as reported). I was close to send it back...

Now. this works.. so far, with my fingers twisted.. I like it so far, but it is hard or impossible to adjust the mic with a laptop speaker system, you have to use the headset.. otherwise there is so much feedback you cannot use the mic.. that said, its a good unit, great picture quality,... now to find something to replace those worthless lifecam 3000 units from microsoft..
