Lowepro outdid themselves!
Just got the Vertex 300, as I'm always looking for a way to carry my camera & computer gear more efficiently on the airplane. And I think I found it!
This bag is incredibly roomy... especially since it fits within the carry-on guidelines! The harness is super-adjustable, and should make carrying any load a breeze -- I have similar systems on other packs, and as long as you do it all up, the load completely disappears... even 60-70 pounds of it!

LowePro Rocks
Lowepro gets it right, February 11, 2009
I have had Lowepro backpacks for many years and always loved how they fit me and how practical their compartments & configuration were. I bought my Tamrac camera backpack 4 years ago and it is also a nice backpack but I outgrew it and on a recent trip to Europe, it developed a split on one side. A couple other photographers in Europe were using various Lowepro Vertex packs and I soon bought the Vertex 300 AW to upgrade and replace my Tamr...

Very good, but VERY heavy!
It's big enough to fit all my stuff. I am not a pro and I have been into photography for only about a year or so. I own 2 Nikon DSLRs (D90 & D40) and 6 small to medium size Nikon lenses (70-300mm VR, 16-85mm VR, 50mm 1.8D, 18-55mm, 10.5 2.8 fisheye and 55-200mm VR) and all fit in there in addition to a SB-600 flash unit and a 15.4" Sony VAIO notebook (which was an additional reason to buy this bag)... With all this gear, trust me, you don't want to try to lift it, it's INCREDIBLY HEAVY!!!...
