Gateway might not provide warranty support WARNING: Never buy a Gateway computer expecting that your warranty will be honored by Gateway. In the past Gateway has sold their warranty support to corporations like MPC which have then filed bankruptcy and gone out of business leaving Gateway customers with nowhere to turn for service and parts for their computers and accessories that are still under warranty.

GATEWAY= WORST COMPUTER COMPANY EVER Gateway is the worst computer company ever. My laptop's hard drive blew after 3 months and they said I had to pay $30 to ship it to them. When they didn't fix it, I sent them a letter and asked them to send me my $30 back and they said no. Being a college freshmen, a laptop is essential. Broken right out of the box :( I purchased this computer elsewhere at a much lower price. I was so excited to get it, I pulled it out of the box and it is just beautiful! However, I was terribly disappointed when it wouldn't even boot up. There was an error with the cpu fan. I called Gateway support and they said the fan either came loose in shipping or there was a problem with the motherboard. He indicated that it was a defect common with this computer.
