Mac books are for the birds This notebook is great. No wonder it has such a high rating with so many purchases. For basic pc functions, you can't go wrong with this.

PROS:
built-in camera
3 usb ports
3-cell batt is decent
oh yeah.. it's under 300!

CONS:
built-in mic = defunct (get a cheap logitech for $8 for webcamming)
annoying buzz-sound that only goes away when sleeping or off
gets hot fast, but for its size, you can't blame it

Great Value I have had my Acer Netbook for about 2 months, and I am very pleased with it. It's very fast--minimal issues with buffering music, etc (does happen sometimes, but it's not a huge problem). The touchpad has taken some getting used to, but now it's pretty much second nature. It is a bit too easy to accidentally zoom in and out, but not a big deal to correct when that happens. The small screen size has taken a little getting used to as well.
