Dump the laptop and get one of these! I've been using an older Dell 14" laptop for several years for casual web surfing while watching TV and such. I saw one of these Aspire netbooks at the local Radio Shack and it caught my interest. Smaller than the laptop, MUCH lighter and yet still plenty big enough.
It came this week and here are my first impressions...

Touchpad buttons are the only negative I've had my 10 inch AOD150 for a month now. I love it! Starts up super quickly. Has amazing battery life (I have extended battery option) - 7 hrs! I was worried about the keyboard being too small but it is definitely not. Like all windows based netbooks, it definitely slows down if you have too many app's open, so opt for the most RAM as possible. The only drawback is the touchpad buttons - they are TOO stiff.
