Apple modems

About apple modems

MOdulate/DEModulate A device that modulates digital data from a computer to an analog format that can be sent over telephone lines, then demodulates it back into digital form.

A modem may also refer to a device used for high speed broadband via cable or a dsl connection.

Modems can be a card inserted into a slot on a motherboard, or connected externally through a RJ-11 port or a USB port.

There are also modems that have fax and voice capabilites.
