I purchased this game and initially was very disappointed. I have an IMAC 24 inch screen with the upgraded graphics card and 4G of ram, so I did not expect any issues. After downloading the patch for this game, i was still seeing crappy graphics and a weird green tint as well as almost like mirror reflections coming off the players. It's Madden
The most annoying thing about Madden 08 is you've got to carry the blessed DVD around with you to launch the game. That's not a problem when you're at home, but if you travel and want to just kick back and do something mindless - DOH! You didn't bring the DVD, you can't play the game. Performance on a 2.2ghz MacBook Pro is good. I kill processor intensive tasks (like BOINC) before starting and have had no problems. Haven't seen any image distortions that I heard complaints about. Awful display
I have a Mac Pro with a 24" display. The game display is terrible! As another reviewer stated, the menu is garbled and some menu items can't be seen at all. How could this not be foreseen? And as far as I know, there is no fix to be had. I love Madden but don't buy this game until they fix everything.
