Best unit I've used.
This hub does everything it claims to do and performance wise it is a good buy. I don't get the angle design as with all the connections attached it will have a tendency to fall over but its curved body means it does not lie down flat on a desk. IMHO not a practical case design....

Can't beat this hub
I did a lot of research into the "best" USB hub, and the Targus consistently showed up at the top of the list. I agree. I purchased this for my wife who was having trouble with an unpowered hub not providing sufficient power to a backup hard drive and other devices. We plugged in the Targus, plugged in her USB devices, and all problems vanished. The unit is well designed and does all that is necessary. Virtually a docking station
I got this as a gift for my wife. She uses it like a docking station for her laptop, so she leaves speakers or headphones, a printer and a couple of back-up external hard-drives attached. All she has to do is attach one cable from her laptop to the unit and she is up and running. The audio ports are a convenience as they are much easier to get to than the corresponding ports on the back of a CPU. She has had it for close to two years and has experienced no problems.
