Even More than Advertised! What a great little product! Not only does it work great right out of the box as a network storage adapter (which is all it's really advertised as), but it's actually a cheap little Linux server! There's a very active user community online that supports this product - just go to http://www.nslu2-linux.org/. By downloading new firmware and following some relatively simple directions, you can add all sorts of additional applications to the NSLU2. Problems? Check your firewall settings. Trying to install this nearly drove me crazy, until I realized my firewall was the problem (not the drive).

It is kind of slow, but an inexpensive solution to sharing disk files among multiple files and computers.

Fun for hackers and nice NAS too Runs Linux and has a community of developers. Search for NSLU2 on Wikipedia for details. Also works great for its intended purpose. Great for sharing videos, music, etc. with all the machines on your LAN. Very eco-friendly (uses much less power than a PC). –Kendrick Websterfrom Amazon.com
