the best wired router you should get, especially if you have Slingbox
I had FR114P, which is very solid and stable one
the first one died after about 2 year, the second lasted 5 years
since I have more and more connections, I have to upgrade to 8 port router
the choice is between Linksys and this one, and I chose this one because I was happy with FR114P
the web setup is 99% same as FR114P, except VPN options, that I have no plan to use it
FR114P has LTP port, which is no longer used (I have printer with LAN port), this one doesn't
the unit looks ...

Careful on v3
There are multiple versions FVS318v1, v2, v3. And then there are multiple v3 versions that are invisible to the eye. Even with the latest firmwares as of March 2009, it really makes no difference. One version of v3 can live up to the 100mbps WAN line, the other is stuck at 10mbps. When you buy this anywhere you are taking a 50% chance.
If your WAN (out-going internet) line exceeds 10mbps, don't waste your time. This pretty much includes all customers with comcast broadband and verizo...
