Good Product - Hard to set up
Really cool product - range, speed, etc. works really good. The only problem that I had was installation & set up. The instruction was not quite clear and after several attempts to make it work I ended up calling Customer service rep. They have 24 hours support, and the rep walked me through instrallation & set up very late at night, and everything works now. Great product & excellent support...

Made sure to update the Firmware!
When I first bought this router about 6 months ago I too noticed the heat issue, but once I updated the Firmware it cooled right down. I have not had to reset the router since and am very happy with it, but make sure to update the firmware. You first go to the linksys support page and download it, then log into the router (directions for this are in the manual which is also on the linksys support page) and go to the update firmware tab, browse for the file you downloaded and hit the button, if...

Buyer beware!!!!
This is the most horrible piece of computer hardware that I have ever purchased but what is worst was Linksys's attempt at technical support. The hardwired side of the router was okay; the wireless side sucks raw eggs. If I attempted to connect outside of the 12x12 room where the router was located, the connection went from excellent to very good. When I went 30 ft away the connection went from very good to none. Meanwhile I was picking up four my neighobors' networks from the same location.
