28 Jul 2008 Excellent Switch Works great and runs cool. Even works well with a Netgear ReadyNAS Duo, despite what they say on their compatibility list. I contemplated buying a Netgear switch instead but based on their rather poor reviews I steered clear and now am glad I did. 20 Jul 2008 Does just what it claims! This switch does just what it claims. It does NOT drop the speed of all ports to the speed of the slowest connection. It is capable of multiple port speeds simultaniously. I doubt this switch will disappoint anyone looking for a plug and play gigibit switch! –Troy Driggersfrom Amazon.com
04 Jul 2008 It Works Out of The Box EDIT: 8/15/08: I originally gave this product 4 stars is because I believedit should not be advertised as an 8 port switch when it only provides 7 usable ports (one port is used to hook up to your internet connection, i.e., router, etc.). Another poster pointed out that some might not need to attach their internet connection to it and will just use it for networking, thereby providing 8 usable ports, and I edited this review in agreement.
