Mistaken instructions.
Instruction manual says to point the device in any direction and push the button. In reality one should push the button and HOLD it for the time the device scans the ambient and locates a WiFi signal in which case leds will light. Pushing the button simply does not work. However this is not a failure of the device which works fine. Very practical.

Directions should clarify that initial roving 4 LEDs display will resolve into 1 to 4 stationary LEDs indicating actual signal strength. A 1 LED strength is ample for your computer to grab the signal. This "key-chain" size device is perfect for carrying while traveling. This Locator is an excellent bargain for the low price paid.
