Antenna
This item works very much to its specification. This model provides only a modest increase in gain, just what I wanted. The only thing is that Netgear does not make it perfectly clear that a double female cable is required, not an option. You also should have a good knowledge of antennas. For my application I used the velcro type mount, the metal plate added a directional component that was not wanted, vertical mounting. Mis-advertised - should have "zero" stars
Save yourself the hassle of having to return this mis-matched, mis-advertised, mis-begotten "accessory". Presumably designed to fit the Netgear (FVM-318) switch/router's male connector, among others. I don't think so! Even Net Gear's ludricous "customer service" seemed unable to distinguish male from female, contending that what they read on their screen was more accurate that the antennae I was holding in my hand!
