Not compatable with Windows media player
I was disappointed that when installed Windows media would not reconize the CD burner. I could still burn using the enclosed Nero suite but found it a real pain. If the unit does not work with the media player it should be stated upfront....

Very Dependable CD-RW Drive
So far, the Sony CRX230AE CD-RW appears to be an excellent drive. I installed it on an aging Sony PCV-RX560 PC, and it helped bring new life back into it. The choice of two different face plate colors helped blend the drive into the color scheme of the PC (black blended in fine), and while the drive design was somewhat different than the original drive, it still fit satisfactorily into the drive bay for the eject button to work flawlessly. Excellent low priced drive
I replaced my dead HP CD Writer (age 5 years) with this one. Not only is it much faster than my original drive but the included Nero software works much better than the old Roxio that came with my computer. Very pleased...
