Not impressed
The 1573 is good for phone testing and RJ45 Cable mapping but very limited as a tone probe for RJ45, unless optional equipment is purchased....

I'm an IT consultant who sometimes has to do some phone work. I bought this to do tracing from closet to closet - like you're in the basement trying to find the block that extends up to the phone closet on your floor or finding where an unlabeled phone jack is on the 66 block is in the closet. It's not quite as nice as what I see the Verizon techs using - it has large alligator clips and the device the produces the tone doesn't seem to be as powerful as what the Verizon techs have, but it does...
