It got three stars because it "works." I used it to split to my 42" HDTV and the picture quality was perfect. But, the quality of the picture on my 17" LCD computer monitor shows noticeable signal degradation. This might be due to the cable. Or, this could be due to the fact I split the signal. Or, as a comp. programmer friend of mine suggested, my video card is just not strong enough (all i have is a standard Dell). So this cable works, the price is right, but I don't know whether my sign...

No picture loss here
Bought this to split between monitor and 42in TV. Have not experienced any picture loss. Works great for when we run HULU or Netflix Instant on the TV.
