This is a hit or miss product
The adapter did not work at all for my DVD burners. The system kept hanging on post. It did not look as if the drives were being detected properly. Tried it on a spare hard drive and it worked fine. I wouldn't say it's a bad adapter, but it doesn't seem to work with all IDE devices and / or bios. I ended up returning the two I purchased back to Amazon....

Excellent product. Works exactly as advertized. Helped me save and reuse a couple of IDE hard drives and CD/ DVD drives during a recent system board upgrade.

It almost works, keep your expectations low
I have various older ISE drives that I need to connect to a new motherboard. I bought a bunch of these converters so that I can connect my drives directly to the SATA ports of the new board. The results were mixed.| elapsed time: | 29.7ms |
