Not worth purchasing
The Keyspan US-4A does not work at all with Vista. It does not work well with external hard drives. It is very slow when using with other periphals. The support is terrible. I would not recommend purchasing this unit....

Still messing with it, but basically works...
Like many here, I bought this Server so that I can share my all-in-one scanner/printer/fax without having to have it tied to a computer, and it left on.
The unit came up quickly, was easy to configure, and allowed us to quickly share the printer functions. The SW that comes with it and installs on each PC seems smart enough to automatically reserve the printer, do the print, and then release the printer. So as a printer, it works fine.

Great for USB Hard Disk, MFP and old printers!
I had used the 4port print server for a couple of years until it finally died after a power outage from a storm. I used to like it, but it didn't really let me use the scanner on my MFP through it.
I wanted a replacement that allowed for the scanner to be used across computers. I was a bit concerned with all the comments of the MFPs because I have the Canon MP530. I took the risk because Amazon is so good with returns. I got it and my Canon MP530 and Xerox P12 work great with my XP Ta...
