Great Investment
I was very happy with my purchase after buying another name brand that was a USB connection that sometimes works with 2 ports on your computer and sometimes dose not. Every time I connected it was a different configuration. The firewire drive is the way to go. I used someone else Verbatim Portable hard drive and found it fast and reliable especially with large amounts of file....

Great little drive but...
I use this drive on my Macbook to store photos while shooting events. No complaints, other than I bought mine at B&H Photo for fully half the price ($82) it was listed here at Amazon ($166).

Works Great
I have no issues with mine. I use an intel mac. Plug and use right out of the box. My sister has been using hers faithfully for al least 5 years.
