No complaints
I just started using this product a week ago, and haven't had any issues with it. I use the automatic backup function that vista has, and it works great. I use it on my Mac and my PC, and it works fine with both. The Mac takes a little longer to recognize the drive, but that's not a big deal. I also connect it to my media center, and no issues there either. Overall, a nicely designed product at a good price....

So far so good....
I bought one of the Cirago 1TB storage a few months ago and got a little concerned when I saw other reviews of the drives failing. I have not had any problems with mine but I ran HD Tune Pro to verify my drive. The test results shows 100% good sectors (Whew!).
I've used up to 850GB on the drive and haven't had a single problem. Without a fan, the enclosure can get a little hot but that's only during heavy read/write periods.
I'm sorry other users have lost data but hard drives a...

More than disappointed
I have been the owner of 5 or 6 external hard drives. Over the years I got pretty good at telling what I did wrong to cause a hard drive to crash, whether it be a virus or an accidental fall to the floor.
We have the 400gb version in my house that my friend bought for roughly 70 dollars. That was probably the first mistake. Either way, after no apparent misuse, not being connected to the internet for weeks (so no virus/corrupt files) and no major falls to the floor, the hard drive is no ...
