Great hard drive, but...
This is a very good external hard drive. It's literally plug and play. I noticed that it doesn't have a power switch in the back. But there's nothing in the instructions on how to format and copy files over. I read some reviews posted by other people who purchased it and hardly anybody knew how to format the drive. I spent an hour on WD web site on how to find instructions on how to format and copy in the Vista format. It took five minutes to format and about 30 minutes to copy all the files tha...

I do not recommend this product
I bought this hard drive in late February 2009 and it failed May 2009. It was used to back up files. When I when to use the backed up files, it just kept searching and never loaded. I can't return it to Amazon and I am going to try my luck with Western Digital.
I love it!
Perfect for all my storage needs. Great deal. Light weight. Easy installation, plug it in and go. I know nothing about computers or accessories. I'm very happy that I invested in this product.
