15 May 2009Cannot BootI cannot boot with this product connected to my PC. I've tried every BIOS setting, including those related to legacy USB devices. If my computer would boot with this attached I'd give it a much higher rating....–Martianfrom Amazon.com
15 May 2009Western Digital My Book Ext HD 1 TBI've had the My Book for one month now without any complaints. Easy to install, not noisy and does not seem to heat up. I'm storing old cd's and dvd's on this.–W. Tanijirifrom Amazon.com
14 May 2009It died in just over a year. After just over a year of service without any apparent issues, my WD 500GB MyBook just STOPPED. Wouldn't spin. I have gotten an RMA from WD after basically having to go NUTS with those people, and have returned it. We'll see what happens as far as a replacement, but I'm pretty irritated. I'll give it two stars for the year of service.–M. Deanfrom Amazon.com
