Run away from it!!!!! Ok, so, I bought this sucker 2 years ago. Today, it started making some clicking sounds (google it and see for yourself). The problem is not with the data - it's physically damaged (and I did not drop/hit/smash it!!!).
To retrieve my data will cost me between 600 and 900 dollars - a preliminary quote....... And I NEED that data, mind you.
Conclusion? Better buy a solid state drive, pay waaaay more, but be safe and sleep tight at night. Ordering one for ~500 dollars right after posting this... –Mircea Trifanfrom Amazon.com
