never worked
we got it, it wouldn't work. we sent it back. For some reason it couldn't be replaced. Never had a problem with a Lacie product in the past. oh well....

LaCie portable hard drive
This is the second LaCie portable drive that I have purchased. It is reliable. I like that it has several connection ports, so that I can connect it to more than one drive and use various cords with it. I would like LaCie to offer additional bright colors for the rubber exterior which would make it easy to spot in my brief case, and distinguish one drive from the other. (The colors that they offer now which are bundled as a separate purchase are too dark.)

Easy to use extra storage
We have purchased two of these now of varying capacities and have found to be great and reliable - at least so far! With the fast Firewire 800 connection I have found it ideal for storing my music library. The set-up of the drive was easy and the portability is great. Not having an extra power cord compared to the drives we had previously helps clean up the clutter too! We have also successfully used this with our Time Capsule successfully as extra back-up capacity an a network drive.
