Super Drive!!
I've always been a believer in Seagate's products. They have been very reliable. Recently I strayed, however. I went for form over function when I chose a Western Digital My Book FW400 drive despite my bad experiences with WD in the past (late 90's, early 00's). I thought having several My Books lined up next to each other would be more aesthetically pleasing than pretty much any other external drive available. And surely their quality must have improved...

Great FreeAgent Drive - great for Mac
So far very pleased with this 1.5 TB Seagate Drive - installed easily and instantly compatible. Starts up quick and seems to be fast. So far no problems-only had it for one month, and I have an older seagate feeeagent drive that's worked for years now without problems. The only thing I wish it had was some type of on/off switch, since I leave it connected (it shuts off when ejected from the desktop, but then the only way to turn it back on is to unconnect the firewire and re-connect it, assumi...
