reliable so far
i've had this product for a month now. no problems. easy to use, just plug it in and start transferring files since the unit is preformatted to ntfs. i purchased a cavalry ssd (casd0128p2) along with this unit so i could improve the performance of my laptop and not sacrifice the capacity i needed to store data. the esata on this unit makes it very easy to run applications off of it.

great buy
i bought this item because it was on sale for about $85 and i chose it out of all the other ones because of its esata connection. It doesn't disappoint. i can move 700 mb movies in 10 seconds. So far its proven to be reliable.
Great, Cheap Drive!
Works great with SATA, have not tried the USB, but who would when you can use the great speeds of SATA. Bright blue light on front, but deal with it. Works great and very fast. Just buy it.
