Does what it says Back-up peace of mind!
Nice, seemingly robust item.
Comes as it says, although the supplied firewire connector is the larger type and won't interface with my laptop socket, I guess I have to get the smaller version to use the faster xfer speeds. –gazinhofrom Amazon.com

Good HD, Inaccurate Picture (not portable!) The product is good -- and is an external firewire harddrive -- but the picture and description create the impression of a portable and bus-powered drive (like all of the other CrossFire FW HDs). However, this product is larger -- sits on the desktop, isn't really portable, and ships with an external AC power adapter.

That said, it's a good HD and I'll keep it. It's just not what I wanted and thought would be arriving. –JRfrom Amazon.com
