Excellent Product Great product. Only complaint is that it arrived formatted with only about 690 GB available. Seems like a lot of overhead. E-mailed tech support and did not get a response. Other than that it is really fast and with firewire II acts like an internal drive. A bit noisy.

Good one! I've done my research before I purchased this model and I'm pretty satisfied so far. i've registered the model on LaCie website (just in case) and I've had no problems with it since I bought it. the only thing I did not like is the base which I don't use. I lay it on its side (safer for the data) and I wish they had 2 bases so I can elevated it but I'm cool with it. –John S. Faragfrom Amazon.com

The drive seems to work just fine and not real loud. Stout case.
