Hard drive review
There were no problems with hard drive or JR Electronics. However, there was a huge problem with UPS as they completely screwed up the delivery. UPS compounded the problem by telling me that the driver would come to my house to let me know where he had left the package. After a week of this nonsense I had to wait another three weeks for their "investigation" to be completed before another hard drive was sent. A word of caution, require a signature. This way they cannot say the package was delive...

Easy set up!
I have older external HD case not capatible with SATA drives. This IDE drive works fast and flawless. In fact, I have more problems with the newer SATA devices on my vintage Dell XPS M1210 than this IDE device.

Perfect 2nd Drive for Dell Dimension 4550
Installation was a piece of cake in a Dell Dimension 4550 desktop. I installed this drive as a 2nd drive to suppliment the 80 GB original drive that is now full. I use a USB drive for backup. FYI: You need to move the original drive from the top bay to the middle bay. My opinion is that the original drive was installed in the wrong bay.
