I needed this zip drive to retrieve all my old zip files for my portfolio. I just got a brand new Mac and I was concerned that this will not run ok with my computer. It worked well! Great job. 13 Apr 2009 Review of Iomega Zip Drive This a fine product that Amazon offered at a good price. I previously had internal Zip drives on my computer, but my new computer did not have the capability to install an internal Zip drive. This drive is USB powered so it is easy to connect to any computer that has a USB port.

12 Apr 2009 Iomega Zip 250 (USB powered) external drive This product was purchased to upgrade from an earlier USB ac-powered version (1.0). Installation was straight forward and completed without a hitch.

I encountered a problem with the new drive reading disks previously formatted on my old system. Drive would chatter loudly and only seldom display contents of the disk after many attempts.
