Great price for a big HD The Seagate Baracuda that I bought works just fine. It's fast and quiet and holds a lot of information (1.5T). Since it's SATA there's no worry about jumpers. Just be careful with the cable, which can be a little delicate. The price is excellent. The official reviews were also very good. –RBGfrom Amazon.com

Warning I recently ordered this drive. I was weary of the quality from some of the negative reviews, but decided to try it out. BIG MISTAKE!!!! The drive arrived in good visual appearance but as soon as I tried to format it, using both windows and seagate's own software, it threw sector errors and refused to format. –M.
