reliable so far i've had this product for a month now. no problems. easy to use, just plug it in and start transferring files since the unit is preformatted to ntfs. i purchased a cavalry ssd (casd0128p2) along with this unit so i could improve the performance of my laptop and not sacrifice the capacity i needed to store data. the esata on this unit makes it very easy to run applications off of it. –denonfrom Amazon.com

great buy i bought this item because it was on sale for about $85 and i chose it out of all the other ones because of its esata connection. It doesn't disappoint. i can move 700 mb movies in 10 seconds. So far its proven to be reliable.

Minor cons: the blue led light in front is extremely bright but its not really a problem. This product does get quite warm after a while so its best to move the files, like movies back onto your desktop and watch it off your desktop's hard drive. Leaving it on thro... –Anthony Gongfrom Amazon.com
