05 May 2009 Nicely constructed controller, and not too expensive. I use this controller for Windows XP which locates and installs the driver right away. There doesn't seem to be much need for calibrating it that I've noticed, but to get the most out of this controller I recommend a free program called "Xpadder" which will allow you to assign keyboard functions to the D-pad and the eight buttons. Xpadder can be downloaded from the Major Geeks web site at majorgeeks.com. 20 Mar 2009 Almost perfect for emulators! It's no secret that this gamepad does NOT really look anything like the controllers used for the old consoles, (NES, SNES, etc.)

That said - this is a GREAT, affordable game controller for the classics. This controller feels quite solid even though it is SUPER-light weight. The buttons (including the D-pad) are very responsive. The D-pad is the directional control pad on the controller by the way.

27 Jan 2009 cheapest AND most reliable its $2 less expensive than the ubiquitous logitech, it seems a little less well designed, but it works where the logitech sometimes doesnt - i own the logitech & its faileed a few times - & its chunkier ergonomics are appealing on use. –nopotatofrom Amazon.com
