The odds are in your favor 20,000:1 This puppy belts out a 20,000:1 contrast ratio which is just under the standard of more recent LCD TV's. Nonetheless, the picture quality is very sharp (DVI/HDMI all the way, baby!) and the wide screen display makes my eyes dance.

Aforementioned by DryvBy in the previous review, there are some minor calibrations to be made with the brightness and such in order to achieve that delicious HiDef Feng Shui (i.e. darker blacks/greys and more vibrant brights). But once it's obtained, the full... –DNAfrom Amazon.com

A Plesant Purchase When I first upgraded from my Dell 19" LCD to this, I have to say I was a little unimpressed. As a for warning, if you don't want to really mess around with the settings on the monitor for a little while, I'd suggest looking for a different monitor, especially if you're a gamer. Frankly, their default color schemes suck. It took me a good while to get a good setting that was natural and wasn't too bright/colorful and actually had a black instead of a grey. If you don't mind fixing this, I'd sugg... –DryvByfrom Amazon.com
